I have conducted my Ph.D. (2015) across collaborative institutionsl, where I studied nucleic acids thermodynamics under human body conditions and developed a new Helicobacter pylori diagnostic method. During my postdoc at Mirna’s lab my research focuses on understanding the crosstalk between macrophages and skin cancer stem cells to identify potential targets for squamous cell carcinoma.
Being very eager to disseminate my results, I have attended many national and international congresses and established collaborations with research groups in different Universities.

Mirna Perez-Moreno is an Associate Professor of the Section of Cell Biology and Physiology, of the Department of Biology at the UCPH. Her independent group has been engaged in fundamental research in the skin to understand the molecular events that regulate the intercellular communication between cells and their contributions to tissue development, homeostasis and cancer.
